Happy 4th of July!

This year to celebrate the 4th of July, we've "Americanized" some French pastries - after all the Statue is a great example of the French and American people working together!

This croquembouche, in addition to patriotic red, white and blue icing and "Stars and Stripes" candy, is topped with a chocolate Statue of Liberty...

4th of July pièce montée topped with a Statue of Liberty

And this selection of pastries includes a St Honoré with candy, an eclair frosted with today's date and the Statue of Liberty makes another appearance, this time decorating a red velvet cupcake.

And look closely and you'll see that the flame has been replaced by a tiny cupcake!!  Love it!

Pastries with a Statue of Liberty cupcake

And here are the two together looking over the Manhattan skyline!

The two looking out over Manhattan...

We've made just one of each piece and they'll be available on Etsy very soon...

You can find them now here and here.
